That is like saying the first tiers of feral will be talents that resto will also want to pick up.

I'd imagine that it'll be the same as it is now - there'll be talents that resto will want to pick up in balance and everyone else will want the things in resto. Why would that change? If anything, they can put OoC as a 1st-tier talent in the resto tree, because ferals will still have to grab it WAY late anyway. Only restos will get it early, and they don't really even want it.

I can't honestly imagine them going back to the cat/bear model. While it wasn't that big an advantage, it was perceived as being such a big deal by the other tanks that the bitching alone was insane. OMG, ferals can go to cat and do really lame damage in their tanking gear! OHNOES.Kalonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05193899462301079034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1104983185582412950.post-30711731478252511082010-07-07T16:30:22.060-04:002010-07-07T16:30:22.060-04:00Needless to say it will be interesting how they do...Needless to say it will be interesting how they do it. Though I'd bet that the early part of the resto tree will basically be 5 points in NS->MS and then the 6th will be OoC, with all the other stuff moved around or reduced, making that the 'standard' 3x/10 build.Kalonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05193899462301079034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1104983185582412950.post-57670703126495589202010-07-07T15:39:32.612-04:002010-07-07T15:39:32.612-04:00Well OoC, MSS, and Naturalist are now completely o...Well OoC, MSS, and Naturalist are now completely out of reach.

Warriors and DKs have 2 damage trees to help boost threat, paladins have ret to subspec into. Unfortunately, I seriously doubt the first 2 tiers of either balance or resto will have anything to help bear or cat form in this new system, and that has me worried.

Also, I said this over on tankspot, but I share your question. My thinking is that they might go back to the TBC model where every talent has equal parts cat and bear applicability thus eliminating the need the dual spec except for glyps and/or severally nerfing both cat and bear to keep us balanced.Darksend Mercenarehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04390112227038637450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1104983185582412950.post-36566848457333698362010-07-07T15:33:12.261-04:002010-07-07T15:33:12.261-04:00Eh. If what they say is true, this will have zero ...Eh. If what they say is true, this will have zero effect on the various class/spec combos. It's going to change how you level, but at the end of the day your utility, rotation, damage, healing ability and tanking ability are supposedly going to be 'unchanged'.

So...it's a whole lot of UI changes, as far as I'm concerned.

The only question I have is whether or not they'll force you, as a feral druid, to 'commit' to tanking or feral dps.Kalonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05193899462301079034noreply@blogger.com
